Bags we supply for construction
- Valve bags: a self-closing valve for automatic, high-speed filling of cement, gypsum and plaster. They resist tearing and puncturing, hold their integrity in damp and humid conditions, and can include micro-perforations for air permeability.
- PP woven sacks: unlaminated sacks from 5 to 50 kg are the economical, breathable choice for construction materials; laminated sacks add moisture protection where it matters.
- FIBC jumbo bags: Type A and Type B bulk bags for cement, sand and gravel, with baffled designs that keep their shape for stable storage and transport.
- Pallet-less jumbo bags: an integrated rigid base lets forklifts lift the bag directly, removing the need for wooden pallets and protecting the load from floor moisture.
From paper to plastic cement packaging
UAC joined the Ministry of Industry and SABIC in the initiative to shift cement packaging from paper to plastic bags. In a joint project with United Cement Industrial Company, supported by the Sustainable Demand for Petroleum Program and SABIC, the partners overcame the practical obstacles to packing cement in plastic bags. The result is a localised supply chain with the full economic benefit kept in the Kingdom, in line with Vision 2030.
